The Clifton Lodge curriculum is designed to give girls and boys an education that provides them with the knowledge and skills required not only for their future school but also those that are an essential foundation for their whole lives.
The academic subjects studied ensure the depth of knowledge and academic rigour required to pass entrance examinations to excellent senior schools. The balance and breadth of subjects studied ensures that all pupils are exposed to a full range of educational experiences that will prepare them, effectively, with the wide range of skills and standards needed for their future endeavours. Lessons are taught by specialist teachers, who begin to be introduced to lessons from Form 3 (Year 2).
We recognise that 'all work and no play makes Jack and Jill dull children' so within the structure of the school day there are ample opportunities for the pupils to unwind and refresh themselves in our spacious playground so that they can then continue their academic lessons with vigour and enthusiasm. In addition to break times in the normal school day, there are formal games lessons twice a week, which are enjoyed enormously.
