Welcome to Clifton Lodge School
Everything we do is geared around helping your child to be their best.
We are Clifton Lodge, a small prep school based in Ealing, caring for children aged 3 to 11 years old. we use the word small on purpose – we see 'small' as our biggest advantage; our size allows us to provide an environment which makes our children feel safe, secure, comfortable and at home. We see that, together with our Christian ethos as being instrumental to laying great foundations for personal wellbeing, the ability to thrive, which in turn leads to achievement.
Children are taught by a team of hard working and dedicated staff who pull out all the stops to ensure each child’s needs are catered to.
But don’t just take our word for it. Take the word, instead, of the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate who visited us recently and decided to award the school their highest accolade of double “Excellent” in both the academic and personal development of the children. Take the words of our parents who have described Clifton Lodge as “kind and nurturing,” “welcoming and caring,” “the best possible learning environment” and a school which “builds confidence” and “pushes academically.”

On Wednesday we held our annual Spring Concert. We were treated to wonderful singing from both choirs and individual year groups. The concert also showcased talented piano and guitar soloists, along with the school band, who accompanied many of the songs beautifully. We ended on a high note with a lively medley of ABBA songs from the Prep Choir.
A huge thank you to all our pupils and staff (especially Mrs Velkova) for their hard work, and to the parents who came along to support. It was a truly wonderful celebration of music and talent. Here is our Year 1 and 2 singing `There`s a Flower in the Garden`.

Year 3 had an unforgettable trip to the Tower of London on Wednesday!
During our visit, we were guided around the tower by a ‘prisoner’ named Lady Catherine Grey, who brought history to life with fascinating stories about the tower and the people who once lived there.

Here’s what some of them had to say:
✨ Kloe – “Seeing the Crown Jewels was spectacular!”
✨ Maria – “I liked the White Tower in the middle because it had lots of winding steps.”
✨ Caspian – “Lady Catherine Grey told us so much about the Tower of London! It was cool seeing more modern, taller buildings around the city too.”
✨ Parisa – “There was a game where you had to choose a material and test how good it was for building.”
✨ Andri – “I enjoyed all of it, especially learning about former criminals.”
✨ Kento – “Some of the history videos were very interesting… and a bit scary!”
✨ Sosuke – “I loved seeing all the soldiers around the tower!”

Science Week has been full of curiosity and collaboration at Clifton Lodge! 🔬✨
Our Year 6 pupils teamed up with the children in Early Years for a hands-on Science Week activity, exploring, experimenting and discovering together. The younger children loved learning alongside their older buddies, while Year 6 enjoyed sharing their knowledge and encouraging lots of great questions.
Now that their 11+ exams are finished, our Year 6 pupils visit Early Years twice a week to support with reading and classroom activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to develop leadership and mentoring skills, while building special connections with our youngest learners.
