While English and Mathematics provide the foundation of a strong academic education and hold a prominent place within our timetable, we believe that every subject plays a vital role in a child's development. Our enriching Core Knowledge curriculum is carefully designed to broaden horizons, spark curiosity and foster a genuine love of learning, ensuring pupils develop both depth of understanding and enthusiasm for discovery.
From Reception onwards, pupils benefit from specialist teaching in French, Music and Sport, providing expert guidance and inspiring experiences from an early age. In Pre-Prep, dedicated specialist teachers also lead Drama and Art lessons, nurturing creativity, confidence and self-expression. As pupils progress into Prep, specialist teaching is further enhanced through Science from Year 3, while Years 5 and 6 benefit from specialist English and Mathematics teaching to support the transition to senior school and maximise success in 11+ examinations.
