Wellbeing & Pastoral Care

Prioritising the welfare of every child

There is nothing more important than the happiness and wellbeing of the children in our care. We provide a small, family environment which fosters a strong sense of belonging and enables every child to feel happy, confident and secure.

We encourage kindness throughout the school, starting with a buddy system for all new joiners. Our older pupils often support our very youngest with activities in the classroom, helping to build meaningful relationships and a caring school community. This culture of mutual respect and support allows children to feel valued and understood from their very first day.

Because we know every child as an individual, we are able to provide personalised support and encouragement, helping them to grow in confidence and develop positive friendships. Across the school, children are encouraged to celebrate one another's achievements, show empathy and take responsibility for contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment. As a result, pupils quickly develop a strong sense of community, where they feel safe to learn, explore and thrive both academically and personally.

“Pupils are valued as individuals and their wellbeing is prioritised.”

Extra support for our pupils

To support our pupils, Clifton Lodge has partnered with HelpingKids Ltd, offering life coaching for children. Individual sessions take place at school, providing tailored support to help pupils build confidence, develop emotional resilience, strengthen social skills and manage any worries or anxieties they may face.

In addition, we run regular parenting seminars to provide families with practical guidance, insights and support. To find out more, please get in touch with HelpingKids Ltd below.
