Unicorn Theatre Trip
On Tuesday 28th March, Years 4, 5 and 6 went to watch the Velveteen Rabbit at the Unicorn Theatre in Central London. Written in 1922 by Margery Williams, it chronicles the story of a “splendid, fat and bunchy” toy rabbit and his desire to become real through the love of his owner. It was a truly heart-warming story with many laughs as well as some sad moments in the tale. The pupils all enjoyed it, especially the scenes when the rabbit and the boy were playing together, pretending to be on wild adventures and having pillow fights (feathers went everywhere!). There was even a very special guest at the end of the play, a real rabbit!. It was a truly magical play.
